As of May 1, 2026, the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration has switched to Rabobank and uses new bank account numbers, which are included in their communications from that date on.
Key points:
- Payments (e.g., payroll taxes, VAT, corporate income tax, income tax) must be made to the new account numbers.
- Payments via iDEAL/Wero are updated automatically.
- For manual transfers, you need to update the payment details yourself.
- Refunds and most payments use: NL04 RABO 0200 1122 44.
If you accidentally use the old account number, the payment will be forwarded automatically, but this may cause delays and possible issues regarding the payment date.
Paying form abroad:
BIC RABONL2U – Do you need a BIC with 11 characters? Then use: RABONL2UXXX.
In case of automatic payments to the tax office: update the bank account number.
